Sharing a little throwback blog today!
For one reason or another, a few adventures never made their way onto Hardys on Holiday, so I figured why not share them now? (My blog has changed A LOT over the years and if you’re new around here – read this for more about how HOH came to be!)
We also don’t have any big trips planned this summer. Our big move to Dallas meant postponing our spring trip to a fall/winter vacation, plus we’ve been spending most of our time getting settled into our new house and city. (Planning to share a little update soon.)
Anyway – here’s a little photo gallery from a day trip to Temecula, CA in 2016. For my 26th birthday, Zack surprised me with a hot air balloon ride! I actually thought it was a joke because Zack is terrified of heights, so never in a million years did I think HE would plan this on his own.
I remember we had to wake up at like 3am or something crazy to make it to Temecula at 5:30am for the balloon ride. Absolutely worth it. We were incredibly lucky for such a clear day too. And Zack actually didn’t find it as scary as he thought he would. Afterwards we sipped champagne and enjoyed a little picnic at a nearby vineyard. 10/10 perfection.
It was a bucket list item for me, and I’m so happy I got to experience it with Zack.
