Socially Distanced Summer

And just like that, it’s September.

I really cant believe that summer, not to mention the entire year, is almost over. It’s been one we will remember. . .even if there’s a lot we would like to forget.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted – obviously we aren’t doing much traveling, so there hasn’t been much to share, but I thought I’d do a little summer recap. It wasn’t filled with our typical summer vacations or weekend getaways, but Zack and I did manage to find ways to have fun, get creative, and stay positive.

Here’s some of my favorite moments:

HANGING AT THE beach

LOUNGING BY THE Pool

A VISIT TO NORTH CAROLINA

The one “big vacation” I actually took. I visited my family in North Carolina – we did A LOT of hiking, spent a lot of time at the beach, and even a morning out kayaking.

WALKS AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD

From long walks to cruising on our longboards, getting our daily dose of fresh air has probably been the one thing that has kept us sane.

PATIO PICNICS

Turns out our patio is the perfect place for a picnic. And happy hour.

TIE DYING

Discovered a new hobby – and went a little nuts. Everyone I know will probably be getting something tie dyed for Christmas this year.

A NEW KITTEN

Back in June we somewhat spontaneously adopted a new kitten. His name is Franklin, and he’s a wild, white siamese flame point that loves a good snuggle.

AND A NEW BUSINESS

And last but not least, I worked on getting my new business started. Say hello to Sincerelee, – a greeting card & art shop that officially launched on September 1! Check out my shop on Etsy and follow on instagram for all the details.

And that about sums up my summer. I’m hoping to plan a little road trip this fall – I’m really itching to visit somewhere new. But even if that doesn’t happen, I’m sure Zack and I will come up with some ways to have fun.
