My parents sold their home in Wake Forest, North Carolina at the end of February, so I went back for a quick weekend trip to say my goodbyes to the home I grew up in. We moved in when I was 6 years old, so there were a LOT of memories connected to that house!
I helped my parents move the last bit of furniture out, ran around in the woods in our backyard one more time, and spent some time digging through boxes of old photos with my parents. I got to visit with some sweet friends and see my grandma as well while I was in town.
The weekend flew by, and it’s going to be so weird that the next time I visit North Carolina I won’t be staying in “my house.”
