Earlier this year, Zack and I got to go back to Los Angeles for a work trip. It was our first time back since we moved in 2021, and even though it was for work, it was fun to be back!
QUICK RECAP:
• We went to Alfred 5 times in 3 days (mostly because we stayed at The Line LA, and it was right there…but also…we just love it).
• Attempted to grab dinner at Killer Noodle, but the wait was too long (sad face), so we tried a new place near our hotel (Slurpin’ Ramen Bar in Koreatown).
• Also walking distance from our hotel: Oakobing. This place was one of our favorites, and I recommend it to anyone visiting LA – they serve bingsu, a Korean dessert that’s just shaved ice with condensed milk and comes in a variety of flavors. SO good.
• Of course, we had to grab lunch at Porto’s one day too.
• Finally got to try Night + Market. Somehow we never made it here during our 7 years in Los Angeles. They serve Thai street food, and it was delicious. I actually attempted to recreate one of the menu items we ordered – a Thai Crunchwrap – and mine turned out pretty good (there’s was still better).
• Spent an evening at the beach watching the sunset. ❤

Did visiting make me want to move back? Nope! But LA will always hold a special place in my heart. I LOVED our chapter there, but I’m loving how our story is currently unfolding here in Dallas, TX!
Also – any LA friends reading this – I know we didn’t get to see anyone during this quick visit, but I promise we will plan a proper trip to see everyone.
